MIRANDA'S RIGHTS (NBC, New!) - Katie Lovejoy (The Selection) has set up a potential drama at the Peacock about 28-year-old Miranda Coale, "who six years after a sex scandal upended her life, gets a shot at redemption when she's hired by a group of millennials living and lawyering together in a start-up law firm." John Glenn will also executive produce via his Universal Television-based banner. (THR.com)
RED CIRCLE, THE (CBS, New!) - Brandon Webb and John David Mann's best-selling novel, subtitled "My Life in the Navy SEAL Sniper Corps and How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen," is being developed as a drama by the Eye. Said effort is "inspired by Webb's experience serving with SEAL Team 3, Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment sniper cell." Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Mark Harmon via his CBS Television Studios-based Wings Productions. (THR.com)
SNOWFALL (FX/FXP; W: Eric Amadio & John Singleton; D: John Singleton) - Jill Scott and Lauren London are the latest to be cast in the pilot, a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows three characters on a violent collision course: Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a Mexican wrestler turned gangster in search of his American dream; and Logan Miller (Billy Magnussen), a prominent family's "black sheep" desperate to escape his father's shadow. The former will play Sharon "Cissy" Saint, "the no-nonsense mother of Franklin"; while London is set as Louise Saint, "Franklin's party-girl aunt." (THR.com)
