ANIMAL KINGDOM (TNT) - Sohvi Rodriguez's Mia has been promoted to regular for the show's upcoming fourth season. (Deadline.com)
DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (The CW) - Jes Macallan's Ava Sharpe will be promoted to regular for the show's fifth season. (Deadline.com)
EVIL (CBS) - Michael Emerson has boarded the Katja Herbers/Mike Colter-led drama pilot as Townsend, "a seemingly kind and trustworthy man with a twinkle in his eye and an appealing manner. But outward appearances couldn't be more deceiving. An expert witness for the defense in a mass-murder case, Townsend actually might be an agent of evil who spurs his followers to acts of unspeakable violence and murder." (Deadline.com)
(FUTURE) CULT CLASSIC (Syfy) - Justin Bartha and Geoffrey Owens are the latest to board the future-set drama pilot, about a group of teens whose community is rocked by a serial killer who's obsessed with 1990s slasher movies. Bartha will play Jeff, "Bree's (Emily Alyn Lind) father, a formerly successful true-crime novelist whose career has dried up now that murder has been virtually eradicated." Owens will then portray Detective Moscovitz, "an old-school cop who finds himself out of his element in a tech-based society." (Deadline.com)
HUNT, THE (Amazon) - Josh Radnor has signed onto Jordan Peele's Nazi hunter drama series as Lonny Flash, "a movie star who's secretly a member of Meyer's (Al Pacino) organization." (Deadline.com)
LIKE MAGIC (NBC) - Freddie Stroma and Hayley Magnus have both scored roles on the comedy pilot. He's set as Jake, "the overworked entertainment director of the Magic Palace." And she'll play Penny, "who forges a bond with Holly as the only two female performers." (Deadline.com)
neXt (FOX) - Fernanda Andrade and Aaron Moten are the latest additions to the A.I.-themed drama pilot. She'll play Shea, "an FBI agent with the cybercrime division. Shea has overcome a troubled, sometimes violent past in her home country to become the youngest agent to run her own cyber division." He's then set as Ben, "described as a straight-laced, buttoned-up hard worker. Boring to the point of being interesting, he works with Shea at the FBI cyber crime division." (Variety.com)
PRISM (NBC) - Chloe Wepper, David Alpay and Brooke Smith have all booked roles on the "Rashomon"-inspired drama pilot as Sophie Regen, "a recent law school graduate who worships Rachel"; Jay Kershaw, "a therapist who's kind of messed up"; and Bec Jamison, "the hard-living and tough mother of the accused," respectively. (Deadline.com)
STAR TREK PICARD PROJECT (CBSAA) - Hanelle Culpepper has been tapped to helm the first two installments of the upcoming series, marking the first woman to direct a "Star Trek" debut in its 53-year history. (Deadline.com)
SUPERSTORE (NBC) - Chrissy Metz will drop by an upcoming episode as Luanne, "an "all-business" human resources rep who is called in to investigate a series of embarrassing tweets." (TVLine.com)
TALES FROM THE LOOP (Amazon) - Rebecca Hall is the first to be cast in the high-concept drama, which explores the town and people who live above "The Loop," a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe. Hall will play Loretta, "a gifted physicist." (Deadline.com)
UNTIL THE WEDDING (ABC) - E.J. Bonilla is set to star opposite Olivia Thirlby in the drama pilot as Danny Garcia, "a serious mensch, warm, funny, wears his heart on his sleeve. He's not afraid to say what he thinks or express emotion. He's the kind of guy who was born 40, and then had to shoulder a lot of responsibility growing up. Super-smart and tech savvy, Danny came from nothing. He built an online fraud detection company that's about to go public, but he's a family guy first. He's a romantic, and madly in love with his girlfriend Adrienne. Things get complicated when Adrienne's ex-boyfriend shows up on the weekend Danny plans to propose." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED DIARRA KILPATRICK PROJECT (Showtime, New!) - Diarra Kilpatrick is attached to star in a potential comedy at the pay channel, about Maya (Kilpatrick), "a sharp-tongued Detroiter moves to LA hoping to turn two weeks of great vacation sex into a real relationship with her new boyfriend. Turns out, he comes with some baggage, namely a close group of friends who embody nearly everything she thinks she despises." Kilpatrick will also co-write the half-hour alongside Keenen Ivory Wayans for the Lionsgate Television-based The Tannenbaum Company with Scott Schwartz, Kim Tannenbaum and Eric Tannenbaum also executive producing. Jason Wang is a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
