Over the course of a transformative week, Britton and three expert coaches - DIY and home design specialist Angela Rose, positive parenting coach Destini Davis, and style expert Taryn Hicks - help the mom create a harmonious living space, implement effective parenting strategies and refresh her wardrobe. At the heart of the series is the lasting impact of these changes, as the women build a supportive community to continue uplifting each other long after the cameras stop rolling." Penny solves mysteries and murders stemming from the San Francisco morgue, aided by her over-confident extrovert sister, also named Penny, an attorney in the D.A.'s office." Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment and Brian Morewitz of Morewitz Media will also executive produce the project, which has a penalty attached, for FOX Entertainment. (Deadline.com, 11/21)

UNTITLED EQUALIZER SPIN-OFF PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Joseph C. Wilson is spearheading a potential spin-off of "The Equalizer" to be featured in the show's 16th episode this season. Casting has begun on the two principal roles: "a skilled younger female martial artist, weapons expert and criminologist with a secret origin story who turns to McCall (Queen Latifah) for help, and an older male former top CIA operative." CBS Studios and Universal Television would presumably be behind the offshoot as would current executive producers Joseph C. Wilson, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah), Debra Martin Chase, Shakim Compere, John Davis, John Fox, Loretha Jones and Rob Hanning. (Deadline.com, 11/19)
VITAL SIGNS (ABC, New!) - Brian Tanen has sold a new drama to the Alphabet: "Its heroine, Emmy Correll, is in a rut. She wishes her dull, disappointing life was more like her favorite medical drama Vital Signs - where the characters are life-saving heroes with endlessly exciting love lives. But when Emmy's wish comes true, and she is transported INTO the show, she must confront whether this new life is what she truly wants. Waking up in a TV show is disorienting! Especially because in this world, Emmy is apparently a newly hired doctor. But once she gets over the shock, she realizes she's seen every episode; and she knows what's going to happen. And that means here, in this world, she's kind of a genius." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan will also executive produce 20th Television. (Deadline.com, 11/22)
WILL TRENT (ABC) - Scott Foley will recur on the new season as Dr. Seth McDale, "the confident and down-to-earth head of emergency medicine at a local hospital and Angie's new romantic interest." (Deadline.com, 11/19)
YELLOWJACKETS (Showtime) - Sarah Desjardins, who recurs as Shauna's (Melanie Lynskey) daughter Callie, will return as a regular for the series' third season. (Deadline.com, 11/21)
