ALL THE SINNERS BLEED (Netflix) - Daniel Ezra and Andrea Cortés are the latest to score roles on the S.A. Cosby adaptation. Ezra will play Marquis Crown, "Titus' younger brother."; with Cortés as Deputy Carla Ortiz, "an officer in Titus' precinct." (Deadline.com, 10/8)
AMERICAN HOSTAGE (MGM+) - Jonathan Tucker has been added to the series as FBI Special Agent Cormac McNally, "a criminal profiler with the Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI. Very confident in his abilities and skeptical of the competency of local law enforcement, McNally's idiosyncratic behavior might be real, or might just be a cover for his tendency to "profile" everyone around him, whether friend or foe." AUGHT TO BE (Amazon, New!) - Pat Cunnane has sold a half-hour romantic comedy series to the streamer, inspired by Andrew McMahon's hit song "Konstantine": "The official logline for "Aught to Be" states that it "follows one couples' years-long love story told through the unforgettable pop culture moments that shaped the early 2000s and beyond. Each episode captures a key moment in their evolving relationship, set against the backdrop of cultural milestones like TRL, Sidekicks, and the birth of social media. The show blends heartfelt emotion with the soundtrack of a generation." Cunnane, McMahon, Paris Hilton, Bruce Gersh, Adam Londy, Eric Eisner, and Evan Lesser will executive produce for 11:11 Media, The Tornante Company, and Amazon MGM Studios. (Variety.com, 10/10)
BAD MONKEY (Apple TV+) - Sam Jaeger will recur in a yet-to-be-revealed role on the series' second season. (Deadline.com, 10/7)
BLOODAXE (Amazon) - Marc Rissmann and Kai Luke Brummer will recur on the upcoming drama as Greycloak, "the eldest brother of Erik Bloodaxe"; and Strut-Harald, "one of the brothers of Gunnhild," respectively. (Deadline.com, 10/10)
BUTTERFLY/COUNTDOWN (Amazon) - The streamer has canceled both of the recently launched dramas, toplined by Daniel Dae Kim and Jensen Ackles, respectively. (Deadline.com, 10/10)
CLUE (New!) - Writer Dana Fox and director Nicholas Stoller are looking to team for a scripted take on the classic murder mystery board game. A pitch from Sony Pictures Television and Hasbro Entertainment is currently making the rounds, detailed as follows: "Inspired by the beloved game, Clue brings a modern twist to the colorful cast of iconic characters. When a group of strangers are invited to an eccentric billionaire's murder mystery night to solve the famous questions - who, where and with what - they quickly discover that nothing is what it seems to be, and the stakes are even higher than life or death." Gabriel Marano, Margy Love, and Conor Welch would also executive produce should it move forward. (Deadline.com, 10/9)
DETAIL, THE (NBC, New!) - Rob Lowe is attached to star in a proposed drama at the network: "Titled "The Detail," the project will follow elite agents serving on the president's protective detail as they attempt to balance life with professional duty while securing the nation and defending against the next imminent threat." Jennifer Yee McDevitt is behind the hour, which she'll executive produce alongside Lowe for Universal Television. (Variety.com, 10/8)
DISINHERITED (FX) - The Victoria Pedretti/Kiera Allen-led drama pilot has added Karl Glusman as "a paralegal who helps Sarah and Marian with the inheritance"; Alan Ruck as "a powerful attorney who handles the sisters' inheritance case"; Katja Herbers as "a mother of a young boy who seemingly comes from an important family"; and Jonathan Higginbotham in an unspecified role. ELSBETH (CBS) - Lana Condor will guest on the series as "the much younger girlfriend of a college basketball coach": Named Peyton, Condor's character uses her influence to act as a de facto assistant coach, despite the fact that the team and its fans would prefer she remain on the sidelines. When the school's athletic director winds up dead after a heated confrontation with Peyton, the campus gleefully blames the most hated woman in college basketball." (Variety.com, 10/10)
FAITHFUL, THE (FOX) - The biblical drama has added Millie Brady as Leah, "the eldest daughter of Laban"; Blu Hunt as Rachel, "the free-spirited and fiercely ambitious younger daughter of Laban and sister of Leah"; James Purefoy as Laban, "the patriarch of a complicated household and the older brother of Rebekah"; Will Stevens as "temperamental Birham, who, much like his father Laban, prefers fun over tending the flock"; and Taylor Napier as Acar. GENUINE FRAUD (Amazon, New!) - Rain Spencer is attached to star in a new E. Lockhart adaptation at Amazon MGM Studios from Sinead Daly: "Written by Daly, Genuine Fraud centers on a social chameleon (Spencer) who reinvents herself as the best friend of a wealthy heiress, then assumes her "friend's" life when she goes missing." All three will executive produce alongside Patrick Moran and Lynley Bird of PKM Productions. (Deadline.com, 10/9)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Trevor Jackson's Wes Bryant has been promoted to regular on the series, which has also added Jade Pettyjohn and Anita Kalathara in recurring roles. Pettyjohn will play fellow new medical intern Dani: "Overeager yet terrified with a good sense of humor, she's hoping to make her first day at the hospital one she will remember." And Kalathara is set as Kavita, "a brilliant and attractive female plastic surgeon who is professional and straight to the point." (Deadline.com, 10/9)
HACKS (HBO Max) - Christopher Briney is bound for the show's final season in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Variety.com, 10/9)
KILLING GROUNDS: THE GILGO BEACH MURDERS (Amazon, New!) - The streamer has commissioned a new docuseries about the Gilgo Beach serial killer: "From 1996 to 2011, Gilgo Beach, New York, became the haunting site where 11 bodies were discovered, their deaths shrouded in mystery with no suspects identified. This chilling series unravels one of the most notorious unsolved crimes of our era, now taking a turn as a major suspect heads to trial. With unprecedented access, the inside story delves into the depths of this horrific case, exploring the mind of an individual capable of the unthinkable, while unveiling the systemic failures that allowed him to slip through the cracks." Brian Volk-Weiss, Cisco Henson, Matt Ochacher, Phil Donlon, Eben Davidson, and director Emma Cooper will executive produce for The Nacelle Company and Empress Films. (Deadline.com, 10/7)
LIONESS (Paramount+) - Ian Bohen has scored a role on the show's third season as Grady, "a by-the-book Delta Force operator and primary K9 handler, skilled in battlefield tactics." (Variety.com, 10/6)
MATLOCK (CBS) - David Del Rio, who plays Billy Martinez on the series, has been fired by CBS Studios "following an investigation into a sexual assault allegation." The report adds "the alleged incident occurred Sept. 26 and involved fellow Matlock series regular Leah Lewis." (Deadline.com, 10/9)
THUMBLITE (Netflix) - Creator Scott Z. Burns has stepped down as showrunner of the Silicon Valley drama starring Rosamund Pike. He'll remain an executive producer on the project "as he focuses on other projects he has in development." It's understood K.C. Perry is in talks to fill said role on the series. (Deadline.com, 10/8)
WALKING DEAD, THE: DEAD CITY (AMC) - Raúl Castillo has joined the cast of the show's third season as Luis. No other character details were given. (Deadline.com, 10/10)
WATSON (CBS) - Clarke Peters has been cast as John Watson's (Morris Chestnut) father on the series, who will appear in episode seven this season: "Hamish is a renowned saxophone player determined to restore Pittsburgh's historic Jazz scene to its former glory. He arrives at UHOP to seek help for his protege, who is suffering from mysterious blackouts. (Who else would he go to with a medical mystery like that than the best doctective around?) When conflicts arise over the best course of action for the patient, Hamish and John are forced to confront long-simmering father-son tensions." (TVInsider.com, 10/7)
WIFE SWAP: THE REAL HOUSEWIVES EDITION (Bravo) - The cable channel has pushed the show's debut back one week to October 21 after Wendy Osefo, who was to be featured on the debut installment, was arrested on fraud charges. (Deadline.com, 10/10)
WILD THINGS: SIEGFRIED & ROY (Apple TV+) - Jessica Madsen and Brett Gelman have been added to the limited series as Bernie Yuman, "Siegfried and Roy's longtime manager"; and Lynette Chappell, "a longtime friend and onstage collaborator of the duo's, appearing in their act as the "Evil Queen,"" respectively. WORDLE (NBC, New!) - Savannah Guthrie is set to host a game show based on the New York Times game of the same name at the network: "The game gives players six attempts to guess a five-letter word, receiving feedback through colored tiles that indicate correct letters and their placement. Inspired by Mastermind, a single puzzle is released daily with all players around the world attempting to solve the same word." Jimmy Fallon is on board executive produce for Electric Hot Dog and Universal Television. The pilot is filming in the U.K. (Deadline.com, 10/7)
