The New Talk / Variety Series Partners With Nestl� Toll House To Help School Libraries

HOLLYWOOD, CA--SEPTEMBER 26, 2006 - NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's "The Megan Mullally Show" is teaming up with Nestl� Toll House in a national essay and bake sale contest to raise money for school libraries. The contest kicked off on the show and online this week, and will give schools the opportunity to win $25,000 for their school library.

Teachers and school administrators can now submit essays written by their students by mail or online at www.meganshow.com, describing in 100 words or less why reading is important to them. Based on those submissions, four lucky schools will be chosen to host their own bake sale, and the top two money earners will come to "The Megan Mullally Show" at the end of November for an in-studio bakeoff. The finalists will bake their own unique recipes made from Nestl� Toll House Morsels for a panel of judges and Mullally herself.

"Reading and literacy are extremely important to me, and hopefully our contest will help improve the libraries at several of our nation's schools," says Mullally. "I remember spending many an hour at my school library as a child and know how important they are to a child's education and development."

Inspired by classic talk and variety shows, but with a distinctly modern-day sensibility, "The Megan Mullally Show" is tipping its hat to cross-generational audiences this season. Two-time Emmy Award-winner Megan Mullally, coming off eight seasons as wisecracking socialite Karen Walker on NBC's "Will & Grace," moves into the driver's seat as host for this daytime talk show.

Corin Nelson, veteran daytime producer and winner of five Emmy Awards as show-runner on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," serves as Executive Producer. "The Megan Mullally Show" is distributed in national syndication by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution and is currently sold in more than 95% of the U.S. for the 2006-2007 TV season.
