NEW YORK � January 8, 2007 � Bravo will pay tribute to the multi-talented writer, producer, musician and actor Will Smith in the special, "Moving Image Salutes Will Smith" on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 8:00 PM ET/PT. The salute will include presentations from Smith's well-respected colleagues and friends and looks at various film clips from his acting history. Special guests and presenters in attendance at "Moving Image Salutes Will Smith" include Jada Pinkett Smith, their son Jaden, Jamie Foxx, Stockard Channing, Cedric The Entertainer, Terrence Howard, Queen Latifah, Eva Mendes, Thandie Newton, Bridget Moynahan, Randy Quaid, Chevy Chase, Bill Pullman, James Lassiter, Alfonso Ribeiro, Herbert S. Schlosser and Rochelle Slovin. There was also a closing performance by rapper Mos Def.

The breadth and depth of Smith's career are represented through film and television clips including: "Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "Six Degrees of Separation," "Made in America," "Independence Day," "Bad Boys," "Hitch," "Enemy of the State," "Wild Wild West," "Men In Black," "Ali," "The Legend of Bagger Vance," "Shark Tale," and "The Pursuit of Happyness."

Will Smith joins an esteemed group of former Moving Image Salute honorees including, Sidney Poitier, Robert DeNiro, Barbara Walters, Al Pacino, Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams, Martin Scorsese, Goldie Hawn, Dustin Hoffman, Tom Hanks, Steve Martin, Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson, Billy Crystal, Richard Gere, John Travolta and Ron Howard. Smith emerged on the entertainment scene in the late 1980's when he recorded his first album as a high school senior and then followed this up with a successful career in the music business. He has become one of the film industries most sought after stars and his motion pictures have grossed over $4 billion dollars since 1996. He has received countless awards and honors for his work.

Bravo, in association with the Museum of the Moving Image, filmed the "Moving Image Salutes Will Smith" at the Museum's 22nd annual Salute on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.

Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio: Will Smith" will kick-off on Friday, January 12 at 7:00 PM ET/PT followed by the "Moving Image Salutes Will Smith" at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
