Winning Dress Design Will Be Incorporated Into the Show and Designer Will Receive a Trip for Two to Los Angeles, CA for the Taping

Channel your inner fashion designer and create a dress that will be incorporated into ABC�s Golden Globe-nominated series, �Ugly Betty.� Beginning January 12, 2007, viewers can log onto ABC.com and submit their designs for an elegant dress that will provide inspiration for the February 15, 2007 episode of this season�s highest rated new comedy. In addition, the winner will receive a trip for two to Los Angeles as guests for the taping of the �Ugly Betty� episode that features their design. The contest ends at 11:59 pm ET on January 28, 2007. To enter, visit www.ABC.com and click on the �Design a Dress for Ugly Betty Contest� button, which will take you to the contest home page.

Christina (Ashley Jensen), Mode�s resident keeper of �the closet� of high fashion clothes and accessories, is commissioned to design a chic dress for a prominent celebrity. The problem is she only has twelve hours to execute her design, and a blizzard in New York keeps her from her fabric suppliers. Desperate, Christina turns to the offices of Mode for inspiration and uses everyday office supplies to make her creation.

Help Christina make an elegant dress and submit a sketch showing both the back and front of the design, using materials such as tape, bubble wrap, shopping bags, calendars, shoe boxes, hole punchers, paper clips or newspaper, just to name a few. The winning design will be chosen based on creativity, originality and use of color. The judges will be none other than the stellar cast of �Ugly Betty,� including America Ferrera, Eric Mabius and Vanessa Williams, along with Emmy-nominated costume designer Eduardo Castro.
