NEW YORK, February 5, 2007 Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe winning actress Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds, Angels in America) stars in Oxygens newest original film, The Robber Bride, premiering Saturday, March 3rd at 8p.m. Adapted from the novel by best-selling author Margaret Atwood and produced by Working Title Television and Shaftesbury Films, the made for television movie depicts the story of three female friends who are joined by their hatred for a shrewd and deceitful woman (Parker) who befriended and betrayed all of them by stealing their money, men or children.

Parker plays Zenia Arden, a manipulative femme fatale who disappears suddenly, raising the suspicions of an investigator who delves into her past and finds that her former friends Roz, Tony and Charis all had good cause to want her dead. As the facts emerge, it becomes clear that Zenia systematically took something all three women held dear leading to the question did one of her spurned friends take her life as the ultimate revenge?

The Robber Bride is an intelligent story that will unfold beautifully on screen, especially with an actress as talented as Mary-Louise Parker," said Debby Beece, Oxygen President of Programming and Marketing. "It's great to be collaborating again with gifted storytellers like Working Title."

The Robber Bride marks the second project for Oxygen and Working Title. The production company was also behind the network's first original movie, A Tale of Two Wives, starring Cheryl Hines and Peter Gallagher in 2003.
