Pope, who most recently has been Executive Vice President, NBC Entertainment, will head one of the country's largest and most successful television production companies, which is responsible for more than 15 of television's most critically acclaimed, hit primetime series. Some of the series produced by the studio include the highest rated scripted series this season, "House"; the Emmy-winning comedy "The Office"; the highest rated new series of the season, "Heroes," and cable hits "Battlestar Galactica" and "Monk," among others.

Said Silverman: "I've always admired the work of Katherine Pope. She is an unbelievable executive. This has always been her dream job, just as the job that I'm now doing has been mine. I'm so excited to have her continue as part of the team at NBC Universal." Graboff added, "I have been impressed with Katherine Pope's talent for many years and I know she will succeed in this new position. We're looking forward to her continuing to grow our very successful studio."

Pope was named Executive Vice President of NBC Entertainment in January 2006, where she was responsible for all aspects of NBC's new series development, including the Fall series "Life," "Journeyman," "Bionic Woman" and "Chuck." Before joining the studio, Pope was Vice President, Drama Development, NBC Entertainment, from June 2003 to June 2004. During her term, Pope presided over the development of all of NBC's new drama pilots, including the hit drama "Medium."
