NBC HARMONIZES WITH CELEBRITY SINGERS TO CONDUCT A SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT CHOIR WHEN 'CLASH OF THE CHOIRS' PREMIERES LIVE IN EXCITING FOUR-NIGHT HOLIDAY EVENT DECEMBER 17-20

New Series From "Dancing With The Stars" Producer BBC Worldwide Productions

BURBANK - September 21, 2007 - NBC announced that it will introduce "Clash of the Choirs," the next big live holiday event series that follows five celebrity singers back to their hometowns in search of the talent needed to assemble America's best choir. The series will premiere as an exciting four-night event from December 17-20.

The announcement was made today by Craig Plestis, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, Development and Specials, NBC Entertainment.

"This is a wonderful feel-good event series that will get everyone in the holiday spirit and singing along with their TV sets," said Plestis. "The live format and wide range of music, celebrity and community involvement will undoubtedly create chart-topping drama and enthusiasm."

"We're thrilled to be back in business with NBC," said Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Content and Production, BBC Worldwide Americas. "It's a really strong relationship and one we hope will continue to bear fruit. We think 'Clash of the Choirs' is a fantastic idea and perfect for the holiday season."

The series will have its two-hour premiere on Monday, December 17 (9-11 p.m. ET) and will air Tuesday, December 18 (9-10 p.m. ET), Wednesday, December 19 (also a two-hour episode from 9-11 p.m. ET) and Thursday, December 20 (8-9 p.m. ET).

Produced by BBC Worldwide Productions based on a series format acquired from Scandinavian-based Friday TV, "Clash of the Choirs" is a unique experience unlike any other music program. It takes celebrity artists back to their hometown roots to assemble an amateur singing group made up of everyday people from all walks of life.

Once the best of the best have been selected and the choirs have been assembled, they will compete live in studio. The music genres will range from current hits to holiday classics and the choir hopefuls will be judged each night by viewers watching at home. Viewers will have the opportunity to vote via phone, text message or at www.nbc.com.

The winning choir, along with the celebrity that selected them, will receive the opportunity to pick a prize to help their hometown and give back to their community -- anything from renovating a school gym to an auditorium to a new neighborhood park.
