JORDIN SPARKS, BLAKE LEWIS AND LIFEHOUSE TO PERFORM ON "NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE" MONDAY, DECEMBER 31, ON FOX

Mariah Carey's "Shake It Off" to Premiere

AMERICAN IDOL winner Jordin Sparks, IDOL finalist Blake Lewis and pop/rock band Lifehouse will perform live from Times Square on NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE Monday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET live; CT/MT/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Additionally, the show will feature the exclusive U.S. TV premiere of pop superstar Mariah Carey's concert performance of "Shake It Off" from her recently released DVD "The Adventures of Mimi."

As previously announced, Cat Deeley will host the show from the rooftop of Planet Hollywood, and TALKSHOW host Spike Feresten will report from the heart of Times Square. Additional artists scheduled to appear will be announced shortly.

Jordin Sparks, winner of Season 6 of AMERICAN IDOL, recently released her self-titled debut album. Sparks will perform her new single "Tattoo" for the first time ever in Times Square. At age 17, Sparks graced the stage as the youngest AMERICAN IDOL winner and then spent the following summer months crafting her eponymous debut. Sparks notes the album benefits from a summer-long vocal workout while on the road during the 56-city Pop Tarts American Idol Live! tour.

Singer-songwriter Blake Lewis, finalist on the sixth season of AMERICAN IDOL, recently released his debut album "Audio Day Dream." Lewis, a 26-year-old Redmond, WA, native will perform his latest single "Break Anotha" for the first time in Times Square.

Mariah Carey is the top-selling female artist in history with sales of more than 160 million units worldwide. In 2006, she took her show on the road for the first time in more than three years. Her new DVD, "The Adventures of Mimi," features footage from her highly successful tour, which was a grand celebration of her 15-year career.

Lifehouse, best known for multiple Top-40 hits and having sold over 5 million albums in the U.S., are singer-songwriter Jason Wade, drummer Rick Woolstenhulme and bassist Bryce Soderberg. The band has been climbing the charts since the release of their multi-platinum debut album "No Name Face." The group's single "First Time" from their new album "Who We Are" is a Top-40 hit with sales approaching 1 million.

NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE from Times Square is produced by The Gurin Company with Phil Gurin ("The Singing Bee," "Miss Universe," "Miss USA," "Weakest Link," "Test the Nation") serving as executive producer.
