Eye Unwraps Weekly Victory in Households, Viewers and Ties for First in 25-54

Network Claims Week's Top Drama (CSI: MIAMI), Comedy (TWO AND A HALF MEN Special) and News Magazine (60 MINUTES)

The run-up to Christmas week proved bountiful for CBS as the network unwrapped victories in households, viewers and tied for first in adults 25-54, powered by rebroadcasts of CBS's strong primetime lineup. CBS not only claimed the top drama (a first run CSI: MIAMI), comedy (TWO AND A HALF MEN Special) and newsmagazine (60 MINUTES), but the network claimed the week's top seven drama series and the top four comedies, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 23, week 13 of the 2007-2008 season.

For the week in viewers, CBS (8.60m) topped NBC (7.50m), ABC (5.85m) and FOX (5.62m). Season to date, CBS is first (11.80m), ahead of ABC (10.79m), NBC (8.74m) and FOX (8.61m).

In households for week 13, CBS (5.6/10) placed +14% ahead of NBC (4.9/08), +47% ahead of ABC (3.8/07) and +60% ahead of FOX (3.5/06). Season to date CBS (7.5/12) is +7% ahead of ABC (7.0/11), +36% ahead of NBC (5.5/09) and +42% ahead of FOX (5.3/09).

In demographics, CBS (2.9/08, with NBC) tied for #1 in adults 25-54. CBS has been first or tied for first in adults 25-54 for three consecutive weeks and seven times this season. For the season, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09, -0.2 behind ABC).
