In the season finale, each finalist was asked to perform in a group dance as well as an originally choreographed solo in front of a live studio audience, where Green was declared the winner and awarded $100,000. "When they said my name, my legs just buckled under me," said Green. "After the last two dance challenges I felt I had fallen out of favor with the judges and wasn't expecting to win. I definitely danced my heart out; I left it all out on the dance floor."

The creative competition series featured weekly challenges in which 12 of the best dancers from around the country competed to showcase their versatility and moves while being mentored and judged by some of the top performers and choreographers in the industry, including series mentor, Emmy Award nominee and Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, series judge and long-time Michael Jackson choreographer, Vincent Paterson, series judge and choreographer Nancy O'Meara and celebrated actress, dancer and series host Elizabeth Berkley.
