JENNIFER BRESNAN TO HEAD CBS ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMMING

Jennifer Bresnan has been named Senior Vice President of Alternative Programming for CBS Entertainment, heading the network's reality programming department, it was announced by Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment.

In her new position, which reports to Tassler, Bresnan will spearhead the development of new reality programs for CBS, as well as oversee its current slate of franchise programs - "Survivor," "The Amazing Race" and "Big Brother."

Bresnan segues to CBS from The CW, where she has served as Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming since August of 2006. At The CW, Bresnan supervised production on the network's top rated "America's Next Top Model," "Beauty and The Geek" and the upcoming "Stylista" and "13: Fear is Real," among other series.

"Jen's background in developing and producing reality programming is incredibly diverse, her relationships in the creative community run very deep, and we're excited for her to start developing all types of programming in the reality genre," said Tassler.

Before joining The CW, Bresnan worked in production on a wide range of broadcast and cable series that cut across all forms of reality programming - including competition and non-competition series, docudramas, celebrity profiles and entertainment news.

Among her list of credits, Bresnan served as producer on the first season of "American Idol," supervising producer on Mark Burnett's "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" and co-executive producer on both editions of "The Swan." She was also senior producer on "Paradise Hotel" and "High School Reunion 2."

Bresnan's early television career was in music, where she produced episodes of VH1's "Behind the Music," profiling groups such as Oasis, Genesis, AC/DC and Poison. She also served as a producer on MTV's "BioRythm" as well as at VH1 News.
