As "Big Brother 10" Nears Its Finale, All Three Editions Post Significant Week-To-Week Increases

AS "BIG BROTHER 10" NEARS ITS FINALE, ALL THREE EDITIONS POST SIGNIFICANT WEEK-TO-WEEK INCREASES

"Big Brother Sunday" Up +37% in Adults 18-49, +33% in Adults 25-54 and +26% in Viewers Versus the Prior Sunday

Tuesday Edition and Thursday Live Eviction Both Up

As BIG BROTHER 10 nears its Sept. 16 finale, all three editions of the summer reality staple saw significant week-to-week increases, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sept. 7, week 50 of the 2007-2008 television year.

The Sunday edition posted the largest increases, soaring +37% in adults 18-49, +33% in adults 25-54 and +26% in viewers from the prior Sunday. The Tuesday edition and Thursday live eviction show also notched hefty gains.

For the week in viewers: CBS (5.32m), NBC (9.19m), FOX (7.23m) and ABC (4.13m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 1.9/05 in adults 25-54 and 1.5/04 in adults 18-49.

For the week in households: CBS (3.5/06), NBC (5.8/10), FOX (4.4/07) and ABC (2.8/05).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

? BIG BROTHER 10 TUESDAY was up +2% in households (4.2/06 from 4.1/06), +3% in adults 25-54 (3.0/07 from 2.9/07), +4% in adults 18-49 (2.4/06 from 2.3/06) and added +180,000 viewers (6.46m from 6.28m, +3%) compared to last week's broadcast.

? BIG BROTHER 10 THURSDAY was second in households (4.3/07), viewers (6.58m), adults 25-54 (2.9/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07), behind NBC's football. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 10 THURSDAY was up +13% in households (from 3.8/06), +12% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.2/07) and added +610,000 viewers (from 5.97m, +10%).

? BIG BROTHER 10 SUNDAY was second in households (4.4/07), viewers (7.20m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and delivered a 2.6/07 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 10 SUNDAY was up +19% in households (from 3.7/07), +33% in adults 25-54 (from 2.4/07), +37% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/07) and added +1.50m viewers (from 5.70m, +26%).

? US OPEN WOMEN'S FINAL (S) (9:00-11:54 PM) posted a 3.3/06 in households with 4.85m viewers, 1.8/04 in adults 25-54 and 1.3/03 in adults 18-49. In the 9:00-11:00PM time slot, CBS finished second in households, viewers and adults 25-54. Compared to last year's event (on Saturday, 9/8/07 from 8:00-10:08PM), CBS was up +57% in households, +64% in adults 25-54 and +44% in adults 18-49.
