David Stone Named Vice President, Development, Buena Vista Productions
Stone will develop programming in all genres of non-scripted programming for primetime, cable and first-run syndication.

DAVID STONE NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, DEVELOPMENT, BUENA VISTA PRODUCTIONS

David Stone has been named vice president, Development, Buena Vista Productions, it was announced today by Ann Lewis Roberts, senior vice president, Buena Vista Productions and senior vice president, Alternative Programming and Development, SOAPnet, to whom he will report.

In his role as vice president, Buena Vista Productions, Stone will develop programming in all genres of non-scripted programming � talk, game, reality and others -- for primetime, cable and first-run syndication, and will also focus on development for ABC-Disney internal partners, including SOAPnet. He will work within the international arena as well, managing among other projects BVP's first-look development deal with Swedish powerhouse Silverback, recently acquired by ITV.

"David has a strong track record for developing and creating successful reality programs for cable and broadcast," said Roberts. "I'm especially thrilled to add his varied creative background to our team as we expand the programming offerings at SOAPnet and continue to grow Buena Vista's domestic and international production slate."

Prior to joining Buena Vista Productions, Stone was most recently head of development for Rocket Science Laboratories, where he was in charge of development for Rocket Science's four major divisions -- Primetime U.S. Network, Cable, International and Internet. While at Rocket Science, he developed series including the popular Fox hit "Joe Millionaire," "My Big Fat Obnoxious Fianc�," "Trading Spouses," "Duel" for ABC, "Bullrun" for Spike, "Must Love Kids" for TLC and the upcoming "When Women Ruled the World" for Fox.

Stone served as producer for NBC Daytime Online, where he created cross-platform campaigns for "Days of our Lives" and "Passions." He also held several writing positions at Vh1, MTV, Lifetime, Sony and the USA Network. An honors graduate of Dartmouth College, he has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

The Daytime Division of the Disney-ABC Television Group was formed in May 2006, when Brian Frons was named president of the new Division, which oversees the creation, production and delivery of all product for ABC Daytime, SOAPnet and Buena Vista Productions.

Disney's Buena Vista Productions (BVP) is a television development, production and programming division within The Walt Disney Company. BVP develops and produces non-scripted original programming for syndication, cable and primetime outlets, both within and outside The Walt Disney Company, including Cha$e for SCI FI and Stringer s for truTV. The studio also has non-scripted projects in development for the company's SOAPnet channel and oversees the production of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," with Emmy Award-winning host Meredith Vieira, and the acclaimed movie review show "At the Movies."
