NBC WILL EXPAND SEASON PREMIERE OF HIT SUMMER SERIES 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' TO TWO HOURS ON JUNE 23 AND CHANGES DEBUT OF NEW ALTERNATIVE SERIES 'GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP' TO TUESDAYS BEGINNING JULY 7

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIF. - April 24, 2009 - NBC will expand the season premiere of its hit "America's Got Talent" to two hours when the alternative summer series premieres on Tuesday, June 23 (9-11 p.m. ET) while the network also has changed the premiere of the new reality series "Great American Road Trip" to Tuesday, July 7 (8-9 p.m. ET), where it will continue in that new day and time.

"America's Got Talent" will continue on Wednesday, June 24 (9-10 p.m. ET) after its two-hour opener and will air weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout its run. Earlier, "Great American Road Trip" had been scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, July 1 (8-9 p.m. ET).

"America's Got Talent," the most-watched summer series for the last two years in a row, returns with new host multi-talented entertainer/producer and comedian Nick Cannon and the series continues to be presided over by the explosive combination of celebrity judges David Hasselhoff, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne. The show has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country. For the fourth season, the show will travel to at least nine major cities to find talent of all kinds - singers, dancers, contortionists, comedians, jugglers, magicians and everything in between. They will all strut and perform on-stage hoping to win America's hearts -- and the $1 million prize.

"America's Got Talent" is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell's SYCO Television. Simon Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz ("American Idol"), Jason Raff and Scott St. John are executive producers.

"Great American Road Trip" from BBC Worldwide, is a hilarious and relatable new series where seven families from divergent backgrounds are selected to take the journey of a lifetime. Over eight episodes, the families will travel through cities large and small all while competing in a medley of humorous challenges that will ultimately lead one family to victory. These comical, clever challenges are set against iconic American backdrops like the majestic Grand Canyon and the mighty Mississippi.

Along the way, the families and viewers will also discover quirky American landmarks ranging from the World's Largest Chair to the Muffler Men and Cadillac Ranch. Although family fun is the centerpiece of the show, the competition is real and one family will be eliminated each week based on their performance in the challenges. Ultimately, only one family will return home with a dream prize that perfectly compliments their extraordinary and memorable summer vacation.
