THE TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE OF "SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS" PLACES FIRST IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS

CBS Notches Its 12th Consecutive Sunday Viewer Victory

The two-hour special season finale of SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS, which saw James "JT" Thomas, Jr. win the $1 million prize, placed first in its time period in viewers and key demographics, leading CBS to its 12th consecutive Sunday win in viewers, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for May 17, the final Sunday of the 2008-2009 television season.

The season finale of SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS was first in viewers (12.74m), adults 25-54 (5.1/12) and adults 18-49 (4.2/11) from 8:00-10:00PM.

Note: The finale actually ran until 10:08PM. CBS's ratings are tentative and subject to change.

From 10:00-11:00 PM, SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS REUNION SPECIAL was second in households (6.6/11), viewers (11.85m), adults 25-54 (4.9/11) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10) from 10:00-11:00PM. Note: The reunion special began at 10:08PM. CBS's ratings are tentative and subject to change.

Earlier, 60 MINUTES was first in households (6.3/12), viewers (9.99m), second in adults 25-54 (2.2/07, -0.1 behind ABC) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05).

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (11.83m), tied for first in both households (6.7/11, with ABC) and adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and second in adults 18-49 (3.5/10, -0.1 behind ABC).
