"Top Chef Masters" Posts Series High Across All Demos

NEW YORK - July 31, 2009 - Kicking-off season two with a bang, the premiere of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" attracted over four million viewers across its 10PM and 11PM telecasts, making it the highest rated series premiere in "Real Housewives" franchise history, according to Nielsen Media Research. The 10PM premiere scored an unprecedented 1.72 million adults 18-49 and 2.66 million total viewers, with an additional 929,000 adults 18-49 and 1.32 million total viewers tuning in for the 11PM encore, for a cum of 2.65 total viewers and 3.98 million total viewers, making it the highest rated Thursday in primetime in network history.

Versus the season one premiere, the series shot up triple-digits, with a 289 percent increase among adults 18-49 (vs. 441,000) and a 305 percent increase among total viewers (vs. 656,000), making it Bravo's highest rated Thursday telecast in network history. The explosive season two opener topped its sister franchises, marking a 40 percent increase among adults 18-49 (vs. 1.23 million) and an 62 percent increase among total viewers (vs. 1.64 million) versus the "The Real Housewives of New York City" season two premiere. Versus the season two premiere of "Orange County," Atlanta was up 107 percent among adults18-49 (vs. 830,000) and up 138 percent among total viewers (vs. 1,120,000).

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" posted historic gains online, generating the best premiere day video performance for any Bravo series in the history of the network. Clips of the season two premiere garnered 318,000 video streams on premiere day alone, up an astounding 434 percent versus the "Project Runway" season four premiere day. The series also made up 50 percent of BravoTV.com's traffic yesterday, with 1.04 million page views, up a whopping 591 percent versus season one. Additionally, the show's site generated the best day of premiere traffic for any "Real Housewives" series ever, up 114 percent in pageviews, 29 percent in daily uniques, and an unprecedented 1,070 percent in video streams versus the previous record holder, "Real Housewives of Orange County" season three. Continuing Thursday's ratings success, this week's episode of "Watch What Happens Live" scored its highest rated episode to-date, delivering 592,000 adults 18-49 and 850,000 total viewers, up a whopping 195 percent (592,000 vs. 201,000) and 157 percent (850,000 vs. 331,000) respectively versus the prior week.

Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" continues to perform in its freshman season with its seventh episode delivering series highs across all demographics with 1.08 million adults 18-49 and 1.66 million total viewers. Versus the prior week's episode, "Top Chef Masters" was up nine percent among adults 18-49 and up seven percent among total viewers, and is averaging 1.5 million total viewers season-to-date. In next week's episode, it's down to the top final chefs with Morgan Spurlock and actress-singer Zooey Deschanel as guest stars.
