This January COMEDY CENTRAL is standing up for comedy and giving it a one-month long salute. "Stand-Up Month" is back and the only all-comedy channel is giving viewers Network and World Television Premiere stand-up specials every weekend in January, including specials from Chris Rock, Aziz Ansari, Artie Lange, Arj Barker and Larry the Cable Guy. Also on tap during COMEDY CENTRAL's "Stand-Up Month" celebration is a brand-new stand-up series starring "The Daily Show's" John Oliver and the ever-popular "Stand-Up Showdown," a marathon countdown of the top 20 comics as voted by viewers.

Other highlights for the month include the return of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" from their end-of-year hiatus, the COMEDY CENTRAL Premiere of the animated acquisition "The Goode Family" from creator Mike Judge and the COMEDY CENTRAL Premieres of hit films "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," "National Lampoon's Stoned Age," "Screwed," "The Hot Chick," and "Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach."

"John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show" - Series Premiere

Friday, 1/8 at 11:00 p.m.

Watch Emmy� Award-winning writer and "Daily Show" correspondent John Oliver loosen his stiff upper lip and ditch the suit as he hosts a new stand-up show for COMEDY CENTRAL, with material from some of his favorite comedians. Oliver opens each of the six episodes and introduces four stand-up guests over the hour, including comics Paul F. Tompkins, Janeane Garofalo, Brian Posehn, Kristen Schaal and Eugene Mirman.

"Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger" - Network Television Premiere

Sunday, 1/10 at 9:00 p.m.

Stand-up superstar Chris Rock travels the globe to bring his comedy to fans everywhere. In this special, he performs from the trifecta of New York, London and Johannesburg, discussing such universal topics as what women want, racism and Flavor Flav. Sunday, 1/31 at 9:00 p.m.

Thanking over 50,000 of his long-time fans with $4 tickets at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska, Larry the Cable Guy performs in the largest comedy show ever recorded. With a truckload of new material about TV, hot dogs and "buying in bulk," Larry gives his fans in Nebraska and on COMEDY CENTRAL one tailgate party worth celebrating.

"Aziz Ansari: Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening" - World Television Premiere

Sunday, 1/17 at 10:00 p.m.

Aziz Ansari feels right at home discussing tough current topics like gay rights and Kanye West. His hilarious musings on the here-and-now will open viewers' eyes to the truth behind such things as Craigslist, Facebook and the ever-relevant mystery of sheet thread count. Learn how to connect with high schoolers and define the term "the only white guy here" in this brand-new stand-up special.

"Artie Lange: Jack and Coke" - World Television Premiere

Saturday, 1/23 at 11:00 p.m.

Artie Lange returns as raw as ever in his new special from the famed Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. Listen as he talks about his competition with Heath Ledger, justifications for child abuse and the opening monologue he'd do if he were ever asked to host the Oscars.

All the cool kids know that LYAO is Web-speak for "Laugh Your Ass Off" and that's just what viewers will do while watching the World Television Premiere of Arj Barker�s new stand-up special. Tune in for an hour of hilarious new material from this "Last Comic Standing" semi-finalist and "Flight of the Conchords" star.

Sunday, 1/31 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

It's not much of an election year, but that doesn't mean viewers can't vote�for stand-up! All January, viewers can vote for their favorite comics online and by mobile phone to decide the 2010 "Stand-Up Showdown" champion! Starting at 11:00 a.m., COMEDY CENTRAL will count down the top twenty as chosen by viewers. The winner will be crowned at end of the night, followed by the World Television Premiere of "Larry the Cable Guy: Tailgate Party"!

"The Goode Family" - COMEDY CENTRAL Premiere

Monday, 1/4 at 10:00 p.m.

Mike Judge, the creator of "King of the Hill" and "Beavis and Butt-Head," brings COMEDY CENTRAL viewers a new animated show for a new age: "The Goode Family." The Goodes - Gerald, Helen, Ubuntu and Bliss - do their darndest to be the best for society and the planet by doing such things as forcing their dog into veganism, looking down on plastic bags and adopting an African baby who turns out to be white. Who cares if they're hypocritical? At least they're Goode.

"Borat: Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" - COMEDY CENTRAL Premiere

Everyone loved him as Ali G and Bruno and now Sacha Baron Cohen is taking over COMEDY CENTRAL with perhaps his most famous persona: Borat! Sent to the United States by his home country of Kazakhstan, Borat quickly gets sidetracked from documentary filmmaking and becomes obsessed with finding and proposing marriage to Pamela Anderson.

"The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" - COMEDY CENTRAL Premiere

Saturday, 1/9 at 4:30 p.m.

Starring Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Cate Blanchett and Jeff Goldblum. After a fabled jaguar shark eats his best friend, eccentric oceanographer Steve Zissou sets out to film the destruction of this aquatic animal with his estranged son and a motley crew.

"Screwed" - COMEDY CENTRAL Premiere

Starring Norm MacDonald, Dave Chappelle and Danny DeVito. Chauffer Willard Fillmore and his best pal Rusty devise a foolproof plan for revenge against his boss from hell: the duo teams up with a creepy mortician and kidnaps the boss's prized pooch, holding it for ransom. But when the dog escapes and returns to its owner, Willard's boss thinks that it's her chauffeur who's been kidnapped.

Starring Rob Schneider and Rachel McAdams. Beautiful and bitchy high school cheerleader Jessica Spencer wakes up one morning in the body of Clive, a less-than-attractive small-time crook. Meanwhile, Clive's criminal career faces some similar challenges when he finds himself in Jessica's body and together they try to figure out how to reverse the curse.

Starring Seann William Scott. Gary is a high school janitor who sets out to coach a collection of oddball misfits to the Nebraska State Tennis Championships and will let nothing stop him. Even though he has no experience, he's going "balls out."

Starring Ali Larter and David Carradine. Genius caveman Ishbo is full of inventions and ideas - pants, for instance. Unfortunately, Ishbo's fellow tribesmen and the bodacious cavegirl he loves don't see life in the "stoned" age quite the same way he does.

Celebrate surviving 2009 and last night's brush with alcohol poisoning with COMEDY CENTRAL.
