LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX is trying "The War at Home" on Thursdays while its sophomore comedy "The Loop" has been rolled back to 10 episodes.
The two-week "War" test run is set to begin on Thursday, December 14 at 8:30/7:30c where it will be sandwiched between first-run episodes of "'Til Death" and "The O.C."
Additional repeats of "Family Guy" will then sub in for the show's regular time slot of Sundays at 9:30/8:30c on December 10 and 17.
FOX has yet to finalize its January schedule, meaning the time slot change could become permanent should ratings merit.
Meanwhile, the three-episode "Loop" cut has been attributed to the network's already packed shelf space.
In addition to the return of "24," "American Idol," "Prison Break" and "King of the Hill" in January, FOX has series commitments out to dramas "Drive" and "The Wedding Store" as well as the comedy "The Winner" and the reality entry "On the Lot."
