FOX to Split 'Drive' Season, 'War' to Wrap Early
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX is splitting "Drive's" season into two parts while "The War at Home" will close its second season on April 22, one week prior to the May sweeps period.

Both are the latest chapters in the network's ever growing book of scheduling changes.

Citing the show's "tight production schedule," FOX will wrap "Drive's" upcoming five-week/six-episode run on Monday, May 7 with the remaining installments of its initial 13-episode order then airing at a later date.

A split of some sort had been widely expected as the network's summer entry "On the Lot" is due to inherit the Monday, 8:00/7:00c hour starting May 28. (A repeat of "House" will air on May 14 at 8:00/7:00c while the first half of "24's" two-hour season finale will fill the slot on May 21.).

Meanwhile, "The War at Home" will close its sophomore season on Sunday, April 22 at a special time of 7:00/6:00c. That same night "King of the Hill" will slide back to the 7:30/6:30c half-hour with additional episodes of "The Simpsons" at 8:30/7:30c and (beginning April 29) "King of the Hill" at 7:00/6:00c.

And if that weren't confusing enough, starting June 10, the group will assume their summer time periods of "The War at Home" at 7:00/6:00c, "King of the Hill" at 7:30/6:30c, "The Simpsons" at 8:00/7:00c, "American Dad" at 8:30/7:30c, "Family Guy" at 9:00/8:00c and the return of "The Loop" at 9:30/8:30c.

To review, here's a breakdown of the network's upcoming Sunday schedule:
