NBC Crashes Its Own 'Wedding' as 'Criminal' Gets Monday Boost

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Weddings will be safer after tonight.
NBC is set to pull "The Real Wedding Crashers" after tonight's broadcast as "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" will take over the Monday, 10:00/9:00c slot for the final two weeks of the May sweeps period - May 14 and 21.
Said installments - "Endgame" and "Renewal" - will then encore in the show's regular Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c slot the following night.
The unexpected boost comes as NBC readies its 2007-08 schedule, which will be unveiled a week from today.
As for "Crashers," it's understood the show's remaining episodes will be broadcast this summer.
"Crashers'" most recent episode posted a third place 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 (according to preliminary Nielsen data) despite its first place lead-in "Heroes" (5.4 rating).
