CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - Paget Brewster is returning to the veteran crime drama while recent addition Rachel Nichols won't be back. The former had a reduced role on the series this past season while Nichols was brought in to fill the void left by the departure of co-star A.J. Cook. Now with Cook and Brewster back on the show, Nichols's departure isn't much of a surprise. Brewster was previously attached to "My Life as an Experiment," a comedy pilot at NBC which didn't go forward, allowing producer ABC Studios the option to bring back the actress. Co-star Thomas Gibson remains the only cast member unsigned for next season as negotiations are ongoing. (May 28)
MY FORMERLY HOT LIFE (ABC) - John Hoberg and Kat Likkel ("Better With You") have been tapped to pen the small screen take on Stephanie Dolgoff's bestselling memoir/blog of the same name, "a comedic look at the good, the bad, and the ugly moments in a woman's life as she adjusts to the realization that she is no longer forever 21." ABC Studios is behind the half-hour, which Julie Anne Robinson is on board to direct and executive produce alongside the duo. Dolgoff, Christy Fletcher and Rebecca Gradinger of Fletcher & Co. will likewise receive co-executive producer credits. (May 26).
