UNTITLED CHARLES MURRAY PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Charles Murray ("V") has booked a new drama at the Eye about "a street savvy Philadelphia woman who realizes her calling as a homicide detective after a defining moment." Said hour comes from CBS Television Studios with Flavor Unit Entertainment's Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Shelby Stone and Rocklin/Faust Productions' Nicole Rocklin, Blye Faust and Renata Adamidov executive producing alongside Murray. THE VIAGRA DIARIES (HBO) - The Goldie Hawn-led comedy - about "a woman (Hawn) who, after her husband has a mid-life crisis at 65 and leaves her, struggles with being single for the first time in 35 years" - is reportedly on track for a pilot commitment. Darren Star penned the half-hour, which is based on Barbara Rose Brooker's book of the same name. Star and Hawn then will executive produce alongside Aaron Kaplan, Hawn's managers Brian Medavoy and Alan Nevins, and Alan, Wendy and Peter Riche. Production then is being eyed for a spring start as the search is underway for a director. (THR.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - ABC has ordered an additional episode of "Castle," bringing its fourth season total to 23 (EW.com); USA has postponed its new drama "Common Law" from its previously announced January 26 start to the summer (Deadline.com); Bobby Cannavale will stop by "Modern Family" as the former clown partner of Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) alter ego Fizbo (TVLine.com); Jim Beaver will return to "Justified" as Shelby, the manager of the mine where Boyd (Walton Goggins) worked for much of season two, for a multi-episode arc (TVLine.com); rapper Pitbull is being targeted to play Santana's (Naya Rivera) big brother on "Glee" (EW.com); Aziz Ansari and Nick Offerman will all guest on "Bob's Burgers" (EW.com); Marg Helgenberger's 263rd episode - and final - episode of "CSI" has been set for January 25 (EW.com); Denis O'Hare will return to "The Good Wife" as the famously liberal Judge Abernathy (TVGuide.com); plus Kevin Pollak will guest on "Law & Order: SVU" as "a judge who finds himself on the wrong side of the law" (TVGuide.com).
