CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- MTV has picked up its two college-based reality series "Sorority Life" and spin-off "Fraternity Life" for new seasons. Both editions, the third of the former and the second of the latter, which will debut in September.
The second season of "Fraternity Life" will document the Delta Omega Chi house at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Its current season tracks the Delta Omega Chi chapter at the University of Buffalo in New York. The series has come under fire as of late due to the arrest of three house pledges on misdemeanor trespassing charges with regards to actions performed on the show. The house itself has also been suspended from the university on allegations of hazing.
As for "Sorority Life," the third installment of the series will chronicle the Zeta Sigma Phi sorority at the University of Southern California. The series however has been forbidden to film on campus at the request of the school. Like "Fraternity Life," the current edition is set at the University of Buffalo where it follows the Delta Xi Omega sorority.
Both series air back-to-back on Wednesday nights starting at 10:00/9:00c.
