[06/05/03 - 12:00 AM] Sci Fi Revives 'Timecop,' Reschedules 'Tracker' By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC) |

|
CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Sci Fi is set continue its streak of airing short-lived network series as the cable channel has picked up the repeat rights to ABC's "Timecop." The drama, based on the feature of the same name, will air Fridays at 7:00/6:00c beginning July 11. To make room for the series, Sci Fi has benched its encores of USA's "The Dead Zone" for the time being.
Also getting a second life on the channel is the syndicated drama "Tracker." The series, which ran for 13 weeks earlier this year on Sci Fi, will return to the schedule on Wednesday, July 9 at 8:00/7:00c. "Tracker" will replace another short-lived drama, FOX's "Roar," which wraps its run on July 2.
As for "Timecop," the series bowed on Monday nights on ABC in the fall of 1997 and was quickly axed after five weeks due to low ratings.
