CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will keep DVD buyers busy come the holiday season as the studio has issued street dates for a half-dozen new TV series releases.
Viewers can look for the second seasons of "Dark Angel" and "King of the Hill" on October 21 and November 11 respectively with the penultimate season of "The X-Files" on November 4. "M*A*S*H" collectors can expect to see the series' fifth season street on November 11. Then on December 9, Joss Whedon fans will see not only the fifth season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" but also the complete run of "Firefly" on the format.
Specific features and extras, as well as suggested retail prices, will be announced in the coming weeks. The six new releases join an already busy lineup from the studio in the coming months: "M*A*S*H: Season Four" (July 15), "Futurama: Volume Two" (August 12), "N.Y.P.D. Blue: Season Two" (August 19), "The Simpsons: Season Three" (August 26), "Angel: Season Two" (September 2), "Family Guy: Volume 2" (September 9) and "24: Season Two" (September 23) are all due by year's end.
