NBC Moves 'Race to the Altar' to Saturdays

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has announced it will permanently move its new reality series "Race to the Altar" to Saturday nights later this week.
The news comes on the heels of the Peacock's decision last week to bump Wednesday's installment to Saturday at 10:00/9:00c in favor of an encore of "Law & Order" featuring the late Gregory Hines. "Altar" will then permanently move to Saturdays at 9:00/8:00c on August 30. Early schedules indicate NBC will continue to run repeats of "Law & Order" in the show's previous Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c time slot.
"Altar" was been a major disappointment for the Peacock as its August 13 episode finished dead last among the four major networks in households and adults 18-49.
