CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Fans of NBC's "Las Vegas" can unpack their bags: the Peacock has picked up the freshman drama for a full season of 22 episodes.
The news comes as little surprise considering "Vegas" is the top new drama among adults 18-49, averaging a 4.6 rating and 11 share in the key demographic despite going against such heavy hitters as CBS' "Everybody Loves Raymond" and ABC's "Monday Night Football."
"It's no secret that 'Las Vegas' has been very good luck for NBC on Monday nights since its premiere and the public wants more of the glitz and glamour," NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker said in a press release touting the back-nine order. "We feel this series is only just beginning to gain traction and has unlimited potential through the rest of the year."
The pickup marks the first back-nine order for a drama this fall. Gary Scott Thompson, Gardner Stern, Scott Steindorff, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank are the executive producers of the series, which comes from NBC Studios and Dreamworks Television.
