CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Lifetime is keeping its "Wild Card" up its sleeve as the network announced yesterday it has renewed the freshman drama for a second season of 18 episodes.
The series recently completed its inaugural run of 18 episodes on January 24, where it has averaged 2.1 million viewers in its Saturday, 9:00/8:00c time period. New episodes of the series are expected to unspool in August.
Still to be determined is the fate of fellow Saturday night series "1-800-Missing," which also completed its first season run last month. It's expected the cable channel will wait to see how its two drama pilots - "The Coven" and "Class Actions" - turn out before making the call on "Missing."
