Early NBC Fall Schedule Sees Seven New Series
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- All signs point to NBC unveiling five new fall series at its upfront presentation on Monday - the comedies "Hooked" and "The Men's Room," and dramas "HUB," "Hawaii" and "The Cure" - in addition to its previous pick-ups "Joey" and "Father of the Pride."

While several schedules were circulating on Friday, it's understood this is the current frontrunner:

Mondays
8:00/7:00c - "Fear Factor"
9:00/8:00c - "Las Vegas"
10:00/9:00c - "Hawaii" (New Series)

Tuesdays
8:00/7:00c - "Father of the Pride" (New Series)
8:30/7:30c - "Hooked" (New Series)
9:00/8:00c - "Scrubs" (New Time Slot)
9:30/8:30c - "The Men's Room" (New Series)
10:00/9:00c - "Law & Order: S.V.U."

Wednesdays
8:00/7:00c - "HUB" (New Series)
9:00/8:00c - "The West Wing"
10:00/9:00c - "Law & Order"

Thursdays
8:00/7:00c - "Joey" (New Series)
8:30/7:30c - "Will & Grace"
9:00/8:00c - "The Apprentice"
10:00/9:00c - "ER"

Fridays
8:00/7:00c - "Dateline NBC"
9:00/8:00c - "The Cure" (New Series)
10:00/9:00c - "Third Watch"

Saturdays
8:00/7:00c - "Law & Order" repeats/Various Movies & Specials

Sundays
7:00/6:00c - "Dateline NBC"
8:00/7:00c - "American Dreams"
9:00/8:00c - "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"
10:00/9:00c - "Crossing Jordan"

At midseason, in addition to previous series commitments "Revelations," "The Contender," "Plain Jane" (an "Average Joe" spin-off) and "Law & Order: Trial by Jury," "My 11:30," "Nevermind Nirvana" and "The Office: An American Workplace" (note the new subtitle) were said to be in the hunt.

Overall, none of these of moves is of any particular surprise as NBC topper Jeff Zucker assured the advertising community last month the majority of its schedule would return intact.

As for variations, on Mondays, "Las Vegas" and "Hawaii" may swap slots in order to give the latter a better launching pad. Another scenario has "Hawaii" and "HUB" in each other's time periods. "Hooked," the long untitled Heisler/Heline project, is also said to be running under the titled "Crazy for You" on some schedules.
