USA Closes Summer Originals in August

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- With its Olympics coverage set to begin at the end of August, USA is ramping up its three original dramas in time to finish their seasons in time for the summer games.

"The Dead Zone," which regularly airs Sundays at 10:00/9:00c, will air back-to-back original episodes on both August 15 and August 22 beginning at 9:00/8:00c. Said August 22 installment, "Tipping Point, Parts 1 & 2," is the show's two-hour third season finale.

Meanwhile, "Monk" will close its third season on August 20 at 10:00/9:00c following a special "viewer's choice" marathon that same date. Like last season, "Monk" will split its 16-episode season, with nine episodes having aired this summer and another seven coming early next year.

Lastly, newcomer "The 4,400" will wrap its inaugural season on Sunday, August 8 at 9:00/8:00c.
