Oxygen Dismantles Friday Block of Originals
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The Oxygen network has quietly dismantled its highly-touted Friday block of original scripted programming.

The two-hour block, composed of back-to-back episodes "Good Girls Don't" along with Showcase co-productions "Show Me Yours" and "Naked Josh," was yanked this past Friday in favor of the 2002 theatrical "Whale Rider."

The network has opted to split up the three series as "Good Girls Don't" will now air Sundays at 10:00/9:00c with an encore of the previous week's episode at 9:30/8:30c while "Show Me Yours" and "Naked Josh" have been banished to late-night Saturdays at 12:30am/11:30c and Sundays at 12:30am/11:30c respectively.

Oxygen's Friday nights will now be comprised of back-to-back episodes of both newcomer "Nice Package" at 8:00/7:00c and "Girls Behaving Badly" at 10:00/9:00c.

Viewers that missed the change can catch encores of this past weekend's episodes this Friday at 1:00am/12:00C ("Show Me Yours #106: Sexual Healing") and 1:30am/12:30C ("Naked Josh #106: Do Not Resuscitate") and Saturday at 10:30/9:30c ("Good Girls Don't #106: Oh, Brother").

Surprisingly, the moves come with just two episodes left to go in each of their respective eight-episode orders.

Oxygen has yet to release any ratings data about the originals nor has commented on their futures beyond their current seasons.
