ANNE HECHE ADDED TO THE STELLAR CAST OF "EVERWOOD," STARRING TREAT WILLIAMS

HECHE JOINS SCOTT WOLF AS NEWCOMERS FOR THE ACCLAIMED SERIES' THIRD SEASON

Award-winning actress Anne Heche is the latest addition to the outstanding cast of EVERWOOD, it was announced today by The WB's President of Entertainment, David Janollari. EVERWOOD airs Monday nights at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET on The WB. It was previously announced that "Party of Five's" Scott Wolf has joined the cast of EVERWOOD beginning with the third season's premiere episode. He will play a new doctor in town, Jake Hartman, who becomes a rival to Dr. Brown (Treat Williams) and Dr. Abbott (Tom Amandes).

Heche plays the role of Amanda Carver, the Patron Saint of the town of Everwood. Her husband was diagnosed with aphasia several years ago, which left him paralyzed and unable to communicate. Dr. Brown inserts himself into this troubled family dynamic by offering to try and teach Mr. Carver new methods of communication using color and music therapies. While working closely with her husband, Andy and Amanda develop a close friendship, which teeters on the verge of something more.

"Anne Heche is a phenomenal actress and, along with the addition of Scott Wolf, brings a great new sense of excitement to what is already an outstanding show in EVERWOOD," Mr. Janollari said. "To add such an accomplished theatrical performer to a cast that already includes Treat Williams, Tom Amandes, Gregory Smith and Emily Van Camp among others, gives EVERWOOD one of the strongest casts on television."

Heche has appeared in theatrical releases such as "John Q.," "Six Days, Seven Nights," "Wag The Dog" and "Donnie Brasco," as well as the television movies "If These Walls Could Talk" and "Gracie's Choice," for which she received an Emmy nomination in 2004. She also earned a directing credit on "If These Walls Could Talk II" and the television movie "Reaching Normal." In series television, her most recent appearance was a guest-starring role on "Ally McBeal" in 2000. She will also appear in two upcoming feature films "Birth" and "Prozac Nation."

The series is produced by Everwood Utah, Inc. in association with and distributed by Warner Bros. Television Production Inc. Greg Berlanti, Mickey Liddell and Rina Mimoun are the executive producers.
