Bruce Taub Named Executive Vice President, Operations

BRUCE TAUB NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

Bruce Taub has been named to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Operations, it was announced today by Leslie Moonves, Co-President/ Co-Chief Operating Officer, Viacom, and Chairman of CBS.

In his new role, Taub will be involved in setting development and financial objectives and helping to identify key operational and strategic issues for the Viacom divisions under Moonves' aegis. These include CBS, UPN, King World Productions, Paramount Television, Paramount Domestic Television, CBS Paramount International Television, Infinity Broadcasting, the Viacom Television Stations Group and Viacom Outdoor. Taub, who will assume his new duties immediately, will also continue to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CBS.

"Bruce has been an essential member of my management team since I first came to CBS," said Moonves. "Under his watch, we have improved profitability, and achieved significant cost savings across the board while providing investment necessary for growth. To put it simply, Bruce is the consummate pro, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in this new, expanded role."

Taub was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, CBS, which he was promoted to in May 2003. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, CBS Television. Before that, Taub served as Vice President, Financial Planning, CBS Television, from 1997 to 1999. In that role, he worked with senior management determining sales strategies, analyzing and supporting the acquisition of sports properties such as the NFL, implementing the Network's operating budget and negotiating acquisitions of television stations. He also previously worked as Vice President, Acquisitions, CBS Television, responsible for defining and implementing the Company's television acquisition strategy, and as Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis. He joined CBS in 1975 as an analyst with the CBS Television Stations Division.

Taub is a graduate of Northeastern University (B.S.) and Boston University (M.B.A.).
