DENNIS FRANZ, SARAH JESSICA PARKER AND MATT LEBLANC CONFIRMED AS PRESENTERS FOR THE "56th ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS" ON ABC

Awards Broadcast Live from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, September 19

Dennis Franz, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matt LeBlanc have been confirmed as presenters for the "56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards." The show will broadcast live from Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, September 19 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET, Live; tape delayed for PT) on the ABC Television Network.

Four-time Emmy Award winner Dennis Franz has earned a total of eight nominations for his performance as Detective Andy Sipowicz on ABC's "NYPD Blue," which is in its twelfth season. The role has also earned him two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five SAG Award nominations, five Viewers for Quality Television Awards and a Golden Globe. Other television credits include "Hill Street Blues," "Beverly Hills Buntz," "Moment of Truth: Caught in the Crossfire," "Texas Justice," "Civil Wars," "In the Line of Duty: Stand-off at Marion" and "Nasty Boys," and he lent his voice to Officer Klegghorn of the Disney Afternoon animated series, "Mighty Ducks," which garnered him his first Daytime Emmy nomination. Franz has numerous feature films to his credit, among them "City of Angels," "American Buffalo," "Die Hard 2," "Die Harder," "The Package," "Dressed to Kill," "Popeye," "Blow Out," "Remember My Name," "Perfect Couple," "Body Double," "Psycho II" and "A Fine Mess."

Three-time Emmy nominee Matt LeBlanc will next be seen playing the title character in the highly anticipated NBC comedy, "Joey." LeBlanc's other credits include "Friends," "Charlie's Angels" and its sequel, "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," as well as "All the Queen's Men" and "Lost in Space."

Sarah Jessica Parker has earned six Emmy nominations for her role in the Emmy Award-winning HBO comedy series, "Sex and the City." Her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw has also earned her four Golden Globe Awards, as well as a SAG Award. In addition to her starring role, she was also an executive producer on the show. Parker has an extensive list of feature films to her credit, such as "State and Main," "'Til There Was You," "Mars Attacks," "Extreme Measures," "If Lucy Fell," "The First Wives Club," "Substance of Fire," "Miami Rhapsody," "Ed Wood," "Hocus Pocus," "Striking Distance," "Honeymoon in Vegas," "LA Story" and "Footloose."

Don Mischer is executive producer of the "56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards," which are presented by the Academy of Television Art & Sciences.
