NBC Ups Ante in 'Law & Order,' 'C.S.I.: N.Y.' Showdown

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC isn't going make CBS' launch of "C.S.I.: New York" any easier as the Peacock announced over the weekend it plans to air two new episodes of "Law & Order" against the series premiere of the latest "C.S.I." spin-off on Wednesday, September 22.
"Paradigm" (click here for the full listing), the show's 15th season premiere, will air at 9:00/8:00c leading into another new installment, "The Dead Wives Club" (click here for the full listing), at 10:00/9:00c.
The plan undoubtedly hopes to disrupt the debut of "C.S.I.: New York" at 10:00/9:00c, which has the two-hour special "A Dr. Phil Primetime Special: Family First" as its lead-in.
