ABC to 'Wife Swap' a Little Earlier

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- In the latest update to the broadcast networks' fall rollout schedule, ABC has announced it was moved up the premiere of its new reality series "Wife Swap."
The series will now kick off on Sunday, September 26 at 10:00/9:00c following the two-hour season premiere of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." "Swap" will then settle into its regular Wednesday, 10:00/9:00c slot on September 29.
Meanwhile in other ABC news, the Alphabet has also announced it plans to encore the launch of "The Benefactor" not once but twice this week. In addition to its premiere on Monday, September 13 at 8:00/7:00c, viewers can catch encores on Tuesday, September 14 at 10:00/9:00c and Thursday, September 16 at 9:00/8:00c.
The Tuesday encore of "The Benefactor" will pre-empt the previously announced season finale of "In the Jury Room." It's not clear when (or if) ABC plans to reschedule the episode.
