LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- September 27, 2004 -� Steven Weber ("Wings," "The D.A.") and Molly Shannon ("Saturday Night Live," "Sex and the City," "Will & Grace") star in USA Network's original movie "12 Days of Christmas Eve," it was announced today by Jeff Wachtel, USA's executive vice president, original programming. Martha Coolidge ("Sex and the City," "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge," "The Prince & Me") will direct the film, which begins shooting on Wednesday, September 29th in Edmonton, Calgary. "12 Days of Christmas" will premiere on Tuesday, December 7 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on USA Network.

"This year's USA holiday movie will be a lot of fun," said Wachtel. "The creative team of Steven Weber, Martha Coolidge and Molly Shannon promises a great new spin on a classic tradition."

Steven Weber stars as Calvin Carter, a high-powered, self-centered business executive who suffers an accident and, as punishment for his Scrooge-like behavior, is forced to relive Christmas Eve until he discovers the true meaning of the holiday. Molly Shannon plays Angie, a nurse who offers him the chance to get his priorities straight.

A familiar face on the both the big and small screens, Steven Weber has established himself as a dramatic and comedic favorite in television, with roles in popular series including "Wings," "Once and Again," The D.A." and "Cursed." He has also guest-starred in several television series such as "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Stark Raving Mad" and "I'm with Her." Weber has starred in many television movies, including "Betrayed by Love," "Late Last Night," "Love Letters," "In the Company of Darkness," and the minseries' "Stephen King's The Shining" and "The Kennedys of Massachusetts." He has also lent his voices to many animated shows, including "The Legend of Tarzan," "Hercules," "All Dogs Go to Heaven," "Baby Blues," "Duckman," "Extreme Ghostbusters," and the most popular of them all, "The Simpsons." On the big screen, Weber has appeared in "Jeffrey," "Single White Female," Leaving Las Vegas," "At First Sight," "Hamburger Hill," "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" and "The Temp."

Best known for her six-year stint on "Saturday Night Live," for which she earned an Emmy� nomination, Molly Shannon is a brilliant comedienne with impeccable comic timing and tremendous energy. She has appeared in numerous feature films, including "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "A Night at the Roxbury," Never Been Kissed," "Serendipity," "The Santa Clause 2," "The Replacements, " "Analyze This" and "Superstar." On television, she was recently seen in a remake of "The Music Man" and "Will & Grace" as well as in a memorable role on "Sex and the City."

One of the most prominent directors working in Hollywood, Martha Coolidge's television credits include "Sex and the City," "Crazy in Love," "If These Walls Could Talk 2," and "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge," which earned her an Emmy� Award nomination. Most recently, Coolidge directed Julia Stiles in feature film "The Prince & Me." Her feature film credits include "Rambling Rose" (which earned both Laura Dern and Diane Ladd Academy� Award nominations), "Out to Sea," "Angie," "Lost in Yonkers," "Real Genius" and her directorial debut, "Valley Girl." Long active in Directors Guild of America, Coolidge was elected its first female president in March 2002.

"12 Days of Christmas Eve" is based on a story by Jean Abounader & J.B. White with teleplay by J.B. White ("Counterstrike," "Guilty Hearts," USA's "Hefner," "House of Frankenstein," and Peter Benchley's "The Beast"). Jean Abounader ("Every Nine Seconds," "Her Best Friend's Husband," "Ebbie"), Jody Brockway and Stephen Davis ("RUDY: The Rudy Giuliani Story," "Scent of Danger," "Identity Theft: The Michelle Brown Story") will executive produce for Granada America in association with Jean Abounader Productions. White also serves as a co-executive producer. Craig McNeil will serve as producer.
