DEBORAH BARAK PROMOTED TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS AFFAIRS, CBS PARAMOUNT NETWORK TELEVISION ENTERTAINMENT GROUP

Deborah Barak has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Business Affairs, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, it was announced by Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, to whom she will report.

In her new position, Barak will oversee business affairs for both CBS Entertainment and Paramount Network Television, under the direction of division presidents Nina Tassler and David Stapf, respectively. She will supervise all business matters, including the negotiation of talent, producer deals, license fees and other agreements on behalf of both divisions.

She also structured the original "Survivor" cast contract, which has become the template for reality television agreements.

"Debby is a forward thinker who is always one step ahead of the rapid changes our business faces in technology, production and distribution," said Tellem. "Her business savvy has led to deals that have helped CBS prosper creatively and financially."
