Hallmark Channel Spooks Viewers with Month of Scary Movies and a Frightfully Fun Sweepstakes

This Halloween, Hallmark Channel is skipping the �trick� and just giving viewers several �treats� in the form of spooky programming, an interactive Web site and a prize-filled sweepstakes. Advertising partners Masterfoods USA (M&Ms) and ConAgra Foods, Inc. (Banquet Homestyle Bakes) are sponsoring the network�s Halloween promotion and sweepstakes.

The promotion supports Hallmark Channel�s Halloween-themed month of programming. Highlights include �Adams Family Values,� starring Raul Julia and Angelica Houston, on Oct. 25, an encore presentation of Hallmark Channel�s Original Miniseries �Frankenstein,� starring William Hurt, Donald Sutherland and Luke Goss, on Oct. 25 (part 1) and Oct. 26 (part 2), �The Legend of Sleepy Hollow� on Oct. 28, �The Canterville Ghost� on Oct. 29 and �Alice in Wonderland� on Oct. 31, all movies air at 9 p.m. E/P.

As sponsors of the Halloween promotion, Masterfoods USA and ConAgra Foods are featured in sweepstakes and tune-in point-of-sale displays in 4,200 Hallmark Gold Crown� stores nationwide. In addition to promoting tune-in, the sweepstakes also drives traffic to Hallmark Gold Crown Stores.

The sponsor brands are also prominently featured on Hallmark Channel�s Halloween microsite found at www.hallmarkchannel.com. The microsite includes scary Halloween downloads, exclusive programming previews and an opportunity to enter the Halloween sweepstakes to win a chance for a walk-on role in a Hallmark Channel Original Movie (Grand Prize) or a year�s supply of M&Ms (First Prize).
