Kathryn Eastwood Selected as 2005 Miss Golden Globe at 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards to Be Telecast Live on NBC on January 16

First Daughter of a Cecil B. DeMille Honoree Ever To Be Chosen

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- November 18, 2004 -� The Hollywood Foreign Press Association today announced Kathryn Eastwood as its selection as Miss Golden Globe for the 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards to be telecast live on NBC on Sunday, January 16, 2005. HFPA President Lorenzo Soria made the announcement at a morning press conference. Traditionally, Miss Golden Globe, who assists in the Golden Globes ceremony, is the daughter of a well-known celebrity.

Kathryn Eastwood, age 16, is the daughter of actor/director/producer Clint Eastwood and Jacelyn Reeves. She is the first daughter of a Cecil B. DeMille honoree to ever be selected as Miss Golden Globe. Clint Eastwood received the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1988.

�We are thrilled to have Kathryn Eastwood to help us celebrate the 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards,� said Soria at the announcement. �The Hollywood Foreign Press Association�s Board of Directors was unanimous in the decision to select this talented second-generation performer.�

Kathryn currently resides in Hawaii where she performs in local dance and theatre productions. She plans on moving to California in January 2005 to be closer to the entertainment industry.

Previous Miss Golden Globe honorees include Laura Dern (daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern), Joely Fisher (daughter of Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher), Melanie Griffith (daughter of Tippi Hedren) and last year�s honoree Lily Costner (daughter of Kevin Costner).

Nominations for The 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards will be announced at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The 62nd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Sunday, January 16, 2005 with a live telecast airing on NBC at 8 pm (EST) and is produced by dick clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Dick Clark and Barry Adelman are executive producers.
