AND ONE UPN STATION
CBS and Meredith Corporation announced today that they have signed new long-term affiliation agreements covering four Meredith-owned CBS affiliates and one Meredith-owned UPN affiliate. Peter Schruth, President, Affiliate Relations, CBS and UPN, commented: "We welcome this opportunity to extend our partnership with the Meredith Broadcasting Group in these markets. Our companies share a strategic commitment to strengthening our audience and advertiser base, and these long-term affiliation agreements provide the valued continuity that is vital to our mutual efforts. We look forward to building our business together."
"We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with CBS in these important television markets," said Meredith President and Chief Operating Officer Stephen M. Lacy. "The network's primetime line-up is second to none, and it plays a key role in our efforts to grow our news ratings in each of these markets."
