SPIKE TV Extends Its Guy Brand With the Launch of Infinity Broadcasting's 'SPIKE 1140 AM - Radio For Men' In Las Vegas on January 3, 2005

KSFN-AM Is the First Radio Station Branded SPIKE Radio

NEW YORK, Jan. 3 -- The first network for men has branched out to another medium, radio. SPIKE TV and Infinity Broadcasting have announced the creation of SPIKE Radio, a new radio brand geared specifically to men. On Monday, January 3, 2005 the popular radio station KSFN-AM in Las Vegas, will make its debut as the re-branded SPIKE 1140 AM - Radio For Men.

"In such a short time, SPIKE TV has made an impact on guys and the television landscape," says Albie Hecht, president of SPIKE TV. "We're very excited about extending our brand into radio, and hope this venture will lead us to partnerships in other major cities."

SPIKE 1140 AM - Radio For Men features Las Vegas favorites Tom Leykis, "Don and Mike" and "The Big Johnson Show." The radio station also broadcasts Dodgers baseball, USC Trojan football, and NFL Doubleheader Sunday. Coming in January, the station will add The Sporting News Network to the line-up, presenting up-to-date hourly sports news, as well as extended weekend sports programming. Also, SPIKE TV will produce brief segments weekdays on men's issues focusing on health, fitness, lifestyle, and the cable network's programs.

"We are thrilled to be the first station in the nation to be branded as SPIKE Radio," says Marty Basch, Vice President and General Manager of SPIKE 1140. "This partnership will offer unique cross-promotional and multi-platform sales opportunities."

"SPIKE TV has proven there is an audience for programming specific to the male lifestyle," says Jack Landreth, program director of SPIKE 1140 AM. "We look forward to be able to offer a format that is absent in the Las Vegas radio landscape."

SPIKE TV, the first network for men, is available in 87 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), owns and operates the following television programming services: MTV, MTV2, mtvU, VH1 Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, Comedy Central, TV Land, SPIKE TV, CMT, Noggin, MTV International and The Digital Suite from MTV Networks, a package of 12 digital services, all of which are trademarks of MTV Networks. MTV Networks also has licensing agreements, joint ventures, and syndication deals whereby all of its programming services can be seen worldwide.

SPIKE 1140 is one of the six Las Vegas radio stations currently owned and operated by Infinity Broadcasting, one of the largest major-market radio operators in the United States. The others include The Talk Station AM 840 KXNT, 98.5 KLUC, LITE 100 (KMZQ), Mix 94.1 (KMXB) and Extreme Radio 107.5 (KXTE).
