QUICK TAKE

ABC OFFERS MIDSEASON SNEAK PREVIEW AT MINNEAPOLIS' MALL OF AMERICA, JANUARY 15 & 16

Minneapolis Gets a First Look at ABC Primetime Programming

The ABC Television Network will offer thousands of Minneapolis viewers and visitors the opportunity to be first on their block to sample the network's midseason primetime lineup at the ABC Winter Preview Party to be held at Mall of America in Minneapolis the weekend of SATURDAY & SUNDAY, JANUARY 15 & 16. ABC daytime and primetime talent attending the event will be announced soon.

The winter event, designed to build awareness of ABC's new midseason programs as well as support the current programming lineup, is expected to entertain audiences and build the ABC brand.

Those attending will get a taste of what it's like to be a Hollywood insider as they sample and comment on ABC's new promos. Many will go further behind the velvet rope when they're invited to watch full length episodes of brand new ABC series -- Steven Bochco's police drama "Blind Justice," "Grey's Anatomy," "Eyes," "Supernanny" and "Jake in Progress," starring John Stamos - before the network premieres these shows to national television audiences. The attendees will also get a sneak preview at advance episodes of returning hits such as "Alias" and "Wife Swap."

"We've held preview parties at Disney's California Adventure for many years prior to our Fall launch, and they've always been a huge hit," said Mike Benson, senior vice president, ABC marketing. "Last summer was the first time we held this screening event in Times Square in New York, and we had a wonderful response from audiences. These events have all been so successful that we decided to take this event to the heartland of the United States at Mall of America."
