SECOND HIGHEST RATED EPISODE OF THE SEASON
Santa Monica, CA, January 6, 2005 - Yesterday's episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show featuring an interview with Scott Peterson's former girlfriend, Amber Frey, garnered a 9.7/22 across the metered markets, tying as the second highest overnight rating of the season. (Source Nielsen, Wrap Overnights). Taking into account the secondary runs, the series garnered a 11.1/18 (combined weighted average rating).
The episode tied the rating achieved by "Oprah's Favorite Things 2004," and was out-rated only by the 2004 Season Premiere. On Friday, January 7, The Oprah Winfrey Show will air the second half of Oprah's one-on-one interview with Amber Frey (check local listings).
Currently in its 19th season, The Oprah Winfrey Show is garnering its highest national ratings since 1996. It has remained the number-one talk show for 18 consecutive seasons, winning every sweep since its debut in 1986.
