"WHEEL OF FORTUNE," AMERICA'S #1 SYNDICATED SERIES, TO TAPE SHOWS IN LAS VEGAS, "THE ENTERTAINMENT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD"

Three Weeks of Episodes to Tape at the Las Vegas Hilton in January 2005

Culver City, CAJanuary 19, 2005-- Wheel of Fortune travels to Las Vegas, the "Entertainment Capital of the World," in January 2005 to tape three weeks of shows. The episodes will be taped at the Las Vegas Hilton for broadcast in February 2005.

In November, 2004, co-host Vanna White was in Las Vegas to announce that the show would be taping shows live from the Las Vegas Hilton. Following the announcement, Vanna joined the Wheel of Fortune production team at various Las Vegas-area locations to pre-tape segments for the February episodes, including Fremont Street, Monte Lago Harbor, Lake Las Vegas and hotels including the Mandalay Bay and the Las Vegas Hilton.

From January 21-23, Pat Sajak, Vanna White and the entire Wheel of Fortune production staff will be on hand to tape 15 episodes, over three days, before a local audience of thousands. Wheel of Fortune will feature special theme weeks, including "Sweethearts Week," shows in which married couples are teamed together on Friday, January 21; "Las Vegas Week," celebrating the sights and sounds of the most dazzling city in America on Saturday, January 22; and "Big Money Week" on Sunday, January 23. A custom-designed set will feature images of the city and capture the unique flavor of the Las Vegas strip.

"No other city in America says excitement quite like Las Vegas," said Executive Producer Harry Friedman. "Bright lights, big money, big-name stars, and non-stop fun. Wheel of Fortune and Las Vegas are a perfect fit."

"One of the great things about taking 'Wheel' to other cities is that we get a chance to actually meet the people from around the country who have made the show so successful," said host Pat Sajak. "That's especially true about Las Vegas, because it's such a popular vacation destination. Not only do we get to spend time in one the world's most exciting cities, we get to meet and entertain viewers from virtually every state in the nation."

"I always look forward to going to Las Vegas to shoot Wheel. It's one of my favorite cities!," said co-host, Vanna White.

Wheel of Fortune, which entered its 22nd season on September 6, 2004, can be seen each night Monday through Saturday at 7:00 PM. on Channel 3, Where News Comes First.

Wheel of Fortune is the #1 program in the history of syndicated television. It is seen by over 16 million viewers each evening in the U.S., and 100 million weekly viewers worldwide. Wheel of Fortune is produced by Sony Pictures Television and distributed domestically by King World Productions and worldwide by CBS Paramount International Television.
