SHOWTIME Strikes Deals With Popular Online Sites to Promote Network's Signature Series

Featuring The Showtime L Word 'Tune In' Reveal & Win Game with iVillage.com & The Showtime Fat Actress 'Big Fat Job' Sweepstakes with Monster

NEW YORK, Feb. 15 -- Showtime Networks is embarking on innovative agreements with leading online sites to reach different audiences for its signature series. SHOWTIME has joined forces with iVillage.com, the number one women's community online, to generate excitement for the second season launch of THE L WORD on February 20th, and with Monster, the leading global online careers site, to promote the much anticipated launch of FAT ACTRESS starring Kirstie Alley on March 7.

Len Fogge, Showtime Networks Executive Vice President, Marketing & Creative stated, "It's a crowded marketplace and it's become increasingly important for us to extend our reach via non-traditional outlets, and online relationships have become a critical component of our marketing strategy. By linking up with such sites as iVillage.com and Monster, we are able to generate huge buzz for our series while targeting them to the people we believe will be most interested in watching them."

To target women, SHOWTIME is working with iVillage.com, The Internet For Women(TM), to offer THE SHOWTIME L WORD "TUNE IN" REVEAL & WIN GAME, which kicked off on February 1st and runs through March 28. SHOWTIME and iVillage.com will award one daily instant winner a 20 GB Apple iPod. To win the prize, consumers must go to http://www.iVillage.com/lword and link to a dedicated sweepstakes site. There they can access an online instant win card with three THE L WORD logos. If the logos reveal three matched images of an Apple iPod - they win. iVillage.com will promote the series and the instant win game via banner ads, newsletters and emails across the iVillage network, reaching a targeted audience of women 18-54. SHOWTIME will promote the series on-air and online at its SHO.com website.

Monster will give Showtime exposure to Monster's millions of unique monthly visitors as part of THE SHOWTIME FAT ACTRESS "BIG FAT JOB" SWEEPSTAKES, which began February 10 and runs through March 20. One grand prize winner will be awarded a walk-on-role in a future episode of FAT ACTRESS as well as a $10,000 signing bonus. The sweepstakes highlights Kirstie Alley's struggle to find work as a "fat actress" in Hollywood. SHOWTIME will promote the series on-air and online at its SHO.com website. The series and the sweepstakes will be promoted by Monster via banner ads, newsletters and emails and will be featured on their homepage for the duration of the promotion.
