TWO CLASSIC ACTION TV SERIES COME TO DVD FOR THE FIRST TIME: AIRWOLF: SEASON ONE AND BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP: VOLUME ONE

Soaring into Stores May 24, 2005 From Universal Studios Home Entertainment

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- May 13, 2005 -- Fasten your flight helmets and climb aboard as two of the most exciting TV action shows of all time come to DVD for the first time ever May 24, 2005. Jan-Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine star in Airwolf: Season One, featuring all 11 episodes of the Emmy-winning adventure series centered on a renegade pilot at the controls of the world's most technologically advanced military helicopter, Airwolf. Loaded with cutting-edge surveillance equipment and spectacular firepower, Airwolf takes ace fighter pilot Stringfellow Hawke (Vincent) and his gruff mentor Dominic Santini (Borgnine) around the globe in search of dangerous criminals and international spies. Guest stars include Shannen Doherty and David Carradine. The two-disc set also includes the feature-length TV pilot, "Airwolf: The Movie."

Baa Baa Black Sheep: Volume One stars Robert Conrad as Major Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington, the commander of a band of misfit WWII Marine fighter pilots known as the Black Sheep Squadron. The two-disc collection features the beloved show's first 11 episodes, the feature-length TV pilot "The Flying Misfits," and a bonus interview with the real Major Boyington. Written and directed by Donald P. Bellisario, who went on to produce such TV megahits as Quantum Leap, JAG, Magnum, P.I. and Battlestar Galactica, Baa Baa Black Sheep (later retitled Black Sheep Squadron) co-stars Simon Oakland, Dana Elcar, John Larroquette, James Whitmore, Jr., Dirk Blocker, W.K. Stratton, and Robert Ginty.

Both collections are priced at $39.98 SRP.

SYNOPSES

Airwolf: Season One
Stringfellow Hawke (Jan-Michael Vincent), a renegade Vietnam-era fighter pilot, and his friend Dominic Santini (Ernest Borgnine) commandeer Airwolf, a sleek, supersonic military helicopter. The pair forms an uneasy alliance with a mysterious spy, code-named Archangel (Alex Cord), for whom they carry out dangerous missions in exchange for Archangel's help in locating Hawke's brother, an MIA Vietnam veteran.

Baa Baa Black Sheep: Volume One
Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington (Robert Conrad) is the unconventional leader of the heroic "Black Sheep Squadron," a group of World War II Marine fighter pilots stationed in the South Pacific. Known as the "Terrors of the South Pacific," the squadron is made up of screwballs and disciplinary cases who are often at each others throats, but always pull together when the time comes to spring into action against the enemy. The show skillfully mixes archival combat footage, taped radio transmissions and expertly filmed aerial sequences to create its unforgettably thrilling and realistic battle scenes.
